“Branching Out was inspired by the nature and organic spirit of Elements Kitchen. I took my cues from interesting trees and branches from nature for my compositions. It was my intention to capture the spirit of Elements Kitchen. Each piece is engraved and painted on Lucite with imagery on both sides. This gives the piece depth and allows the light to activate the composition to play and bounce on the walls creating shadows.”

“By allowing my gaze to drift to the periphery, away from spectacle and the obvious, I am invested in the act of noticing while investigating a space between growth and decay.” My work explores the complexity and nuance that exist within a seemingly simple construct. The fragments of tree and sky appear still and focused, while another view reveals movement and disintegration, thereby disrupting a sense of place ”
